In 2021, local Surrey businesses were feeling the impact of health restrictions and reduced customer traffic. Messaging urging people to 'buy local' was getting tired and there was a sense that many were starting to 'tune out'. Help was needed, something that would resonate with local consumers. The Surrey Board of Trade reached out to Blue Meta.
Our 'Thank You Surrey' campaign took a different approach – instead of asking people to buy local, we thanked them for already doing so, creating a positive emotional connection that drove real action.
The campaign resonated deeply with the community, generating significant engagement, press coverage, and measurable increases in local business foot traffic.
